Employment Rights Online Episode 256

Send us a text

Hi there

In this week’s episode, we look at a recent victory for Amazon drivers who successfully took their case for employment status, to an employment tribunal and won. Amazon drivers were classified as self employed, when they were really workers and employees. This case throws up serious issues that need to be considered if you are someone who works in the gig economy, where your status may not be clear.

It's our view, that the more you are able to acquaint yourself with your employment rights in this area, the more your rights will act as an early warning system, which you can use to spot bad treatment or illegal treatment that you may be suffering at work.  If you need help to formulate your complaint you can download a copy of our ‘Complaints Checklist’ here.

If you need help with any matters discussed in this podcast episode or you would like to book a consultation with us to look at employment rights concerns you may have, you can email us at enquiries@employmentrightsonline.com
